Andrea Lane Gardner
Andrea Lane Gardner is a music educator and collaborative pianist in St. John’s, Newfoundland and Labrador. A K-6 Music Specialist with NLSchools, she is passionate about helping young people discover the transformative power and joy of music making. Andrea is a proud faculty member with Shallaway Youth Choir, where she works with several ensembles, and an accompanist with Holy Heart of Mary Chamber Choir, most recently performing with the choir at Podium 2024 in Montreal.
Recognized for her contributions, Andrea was honored with the 2022 Builder’s Award for NL from the Canadian Music Educators’ Association for her community-building efforts and collaborative initiatives advancing music education. She was the recipient of a Leading Learners Grant from NLSchools in 2022 in recognition of her innovative teaching practices.
Andrea holds a Master of Music (Collaborative Piano) from Western University, and Bachelor degrees in Music (Hons.) and Music Education from Memorial University of Newfoundland. She is looking forward to working as an accompanist with the Harbour Voices Festival of Collective Singing!
