Rebecca Rendell

ASSOCIATE CONDUCTOR

Rebecca McDonald is a music educator originally from Bishop’s Falls, Newfoundland. A graduate of Memorial University, Rebecca holds a Bachelor of Music (Voice, Music History & Literature) and a Bachelor of Music Education.

Rebecca previously taught private voice and piano lessons as well as Music for Young Children classes. She has also spent time conducting church and community choirs. Over the last 6 years, Rebecca has primarily worked for the Newfoundland and Labrador English School District. She has taught a wide variety of ages and subjects in places such as St. John’s, Nain, Grand-Falls Windsor, Lewisporte, and Portugal Cove-St. Phillips. She is currently working as a K-6 music teacher at Holy Family Elementary in Chapel Arm.

Rebecca started singing in choirs at the age of 7 and hasn’t stopped since! She has been a member of Lady Cove Women’s Choir since 2005 and has participated in a number of other small vocal ensembles since then. Rebecca is no stranger to the Shallaway family, having worked as a choral scholar from 2010-2012, and she is thrilled to be back!
