Timothy Brennan

Accompanist

Timothy Brennan is a recent graduate of the University of Florida where he obtained a Master of Music degree in piano performance. At UF, he held a full graduate assistantship, performed with the UF Graduate Piano Trio and the UF New Music Ensemble, and was awarded an Outstanding Academic Achievement Award.

Timothy holds a BMus (Honours) degree in piano performance and composition from Memorial University, where he received the University Medal of Academic Excellence in Music, and an Associate Performance Diploma (A.R.C.T.) in piano performance from the Royal Conservatory of Music.

As a pianist, Timothy has performed for the American Society of Composers Inc. National Conference and has given numerous solo recital performances, notably for the Tuckamore Chamber Music Festival and Steinway Hall in New York. He has participated in piano programs at the Banff Centre, Orford Arts Centre, New York University, and the University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music.

As a composer, Timothy was awarded first place in both the 2014 and 2015 CFMTA National Composer’s Competition for his orchestral tone poem The Banshee and his wind symphony work December 26, 2004: In Memory of the Indian Ocean Earthquake and Tsunami. Timothy is thrilled to be working with the Lauda choristers and team.
