Ann Connolly

Accompanist

After 30 rewarding years of teaching Music (K-12) and French Immersion (Grades 4-6) in the Newfoundland and Labrador school system, Ann Connolly still loves making music. This is why she is so enthusiastic and willing to share her talents with the Shallaway artistic team.

Singing and playing music has been her life, with music having been strongly fostered in her family of seven siblings. Ann started lessons in piano, trumpet, organ, and guitar at a very early age and still finds herself using her accompanying talents at school assemblies, concerts, and festivals.

Ann is a founding member of Lady Cove Women’s Choir, an organist at St. Pius X Church, and is currently involved in facilitating the successful So You Always Wanted to Sing Initiative of Festival 500 Growing Voices with other talented individuals. Although retired from the teaching profession, Ann is kept quite busy with her family and musical activities.
