Leanne Kearsey

MUSIC THERAPIST

Leanne Kearsey is a graduate of Memorial University of Newfoundland (BMus – Flute, 2001) and Wilfrid Laurier University (Masters of Music Therapy, 2005). A proud native of St. John’s, NL, Leanne was thrilled to have the opportunity to return home in 2008 and begin her work with Eastern Health where she works as a Certified Music Therapist in a community setting.

As a lead facilitator of the Festival 500: Growing the Voices adult singing program, “So You Always Wanted to Sing”, Leanne’s passion for singing shines brightest – helping people find their voice! She is also a proud member of Lady Cove Women’s Choir.

Leanne is delighted to continue her work with Shallaway, sharing the joy that singing with others can bring with the choristers and families of Lauda.
